- Discord user ID and server ID when you use commands
- AniList usernames when you register them with the bot using the
/register
command
- Content of commands and queries you submit, including AI image prompts, questions, and file uploads for
transcription or translation

We automatically collect certain information when you interact with Kasuki:
- Command usage statistics (which commands are used and how frequently)
- Error logs that may include command inputs and Discord identifiers
- Server information when the bot is added to a Discord server

Kasuki integrates with various third-party services:
- AniList: We access publicly available information from AniList based on registered usernames or search
queries
- Steam and other gaming platforms: We retrieve game information when requested
- AI services (if configured): We may pass prompts or content to configured AI services

- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Process and fulfill your requests for information or features
- Store your preferences and settings (such as registered AniList accounts)

4.1. Storage Methods
Kasuki stores data in the following ways:
- Server database: Stores registered user mappings, server preferences, and other persistent data
- Server image storage: Stores generated images (server icons, user-requested AI images, etc.)
- Log files: Stores command usage and error logs for troubleshooting and service improvement
4.2. Data Retention
- Log files: Retained for a maximum of 30 days by default (configurable)
- Generated images: May be stored either locally or on remote servers based on configuration
- Registered user data: Retained until explicitly removed by users or server administrators
5. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share information in the
following circumstances:
5.1. Third-Party Service Providers
We may share your information with third-party service providers to help us operate, provide, and improve the
Service:
- AI providers (if configured): May receive your prompts or content for processing
- Image hosting services: May store images generated by the bot

We may share your information with your consent or at your direction.
6. Self-Hosted Instances
If you choose to self-host Kasuki:
- You become the data controller for any information collected by your instance
- You are responsible for complying with applicable privacy laws and regulations
- This Privacy Policy applies to your collection and use of user data, but the official Kasuki maintainers do
not have access to data collected by your instance
Note: Self-hosted instances should ensure they comply with their local privacy laws and may
need to establish their own privacy notices to users.
7. User Rights and Choices
You have several rights regarding your personal information:
7.1. Access and Control
- You can remove your registered AniList account using bot commands
- Server administrators can control which features are enabled in their servers
- You can configure notification preferences for anime releases
7.2. Data Deletion
- You may request deletion of your data by contacting us through GitHub issues
- Some data may be retained in server logs for a limited time as specified in section 4.2
8. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information:
- Secure database storage with appropriate access controls
- Optional TLS encryption for gRPC server communications
- Regular security updates to the bot's codebase
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use
commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute
security.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information
from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we
will take steps to delete such information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the
new Privacy Policy on our GitHub repository. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any
changes.
